December at Deeply Rooted Ranch: A Season of Preparation and Promise
December at Deeply Rooted Ranch is a time for preparation and relaxation. Here’s what we’re up to.
Fall planting
For our fall season, and all seasons, at Deeply Rooted Ranch, one of the things we consider when choosing what we plant is "crop rotation," which means we plant crops in a particular sequence that keeps plant health, pests, and soil nutrients in mind.
A Texas-sized storm
On Saturday night, June 10, 2023, our ranch experienced a doozy of a storm that only lasted about 20 minutes but left a lot of damage.
Food Is Everywhere

Love Grows Here
What’s your favorite garden memory? Some may think of botanical gardens, or their favorite sit spot in a city park. For me, it always comes back to time spent in my grandparents’ vegetable patch. Everything coming out of that garden was larger than life, and I cherish those memories while building my family’s own garden plots.
A Revolutionary Act
I invite you to the revolutionary act of creating art by observing, engaging, and participating in the world around you. Experience it and be inspired to create something beautiful. For some, it will be an inward act of love. For others, outward. Sometimes, it’s both.
